Meladerm Cream Reviews

What is Meladerm?

Meladerm from Civant Skincare is a Pigment Reducing Complex, a skin lightener. This cream is used to reduce the hyperpigmentation on the face and other parts of the body. Many people use the product to achieve a uniform skin tone by lightening uneven areas and dark spots. Meladerm can also be used to brighten the overall complexion by lightening sun damaged skin.

Hyperpigmentation is a common condition when patches of skin become darker than the normal surrounding skin. This darkening occurs when an excess of melanin, the brown pigment that produces skin color, forms deposits in the skin. Melasma, freckles, age spots, and other hyperpigmentations become more pronounced when skin is exposed to the sun.

Meladerm containes 10 active ingredients: Kojic Acid, Alpha-Arbutin, Niacinamide, Mulberry Extract, Bearberry Extract, Licorice Extract, Tego® Cosmo C250, Gigawhite, Lemon Juice Extract, and Emblica Extract.

How long it takes for Meladerm to work?

Results will vary based on the particular skin condition and the amount of sun exposure received. Initial improvement is often seen in just 2 weeks. Full results generally appear after 2-3 months of regular use.

Prolonged use may cause excessive skin lightening and is not recommended.

Meladerm is effective for:

  • Hyperpigmentation, dark discolorations
  • Melasma, chloasma, "mask of pregnancy"
  • Age or liver spots, solar lentigines
  • Freckles
  • Tans, sun damage
  • Acne marks
  • Dark elbows, knees, underarms, knuckles
  • Uneven skin tones

I can say from personal experience that this stuff Meladerm does work for moderate cases of melasma like mine. I've had mild melasma above my lip and cheeks after having my second son (strange it didn't happen the first time around!). Even one year after I gave birth, the discolorations were still there. My doctor had originally told me to be patient and that the skin will return to normal over time as my hormones started to balance out. I waited over a year and I saw very little change. I ended up going to another doctor who prescribed my Tri-Luma which I used eagerly for about 4 months. I guess it did not agree with my skin and it looked like my melasma had become WORSE! After this I did some research on my own and found this product Meladerm. I have been using this now for just a little over 5 months and I am finally seeing some improvement. I use meladerm twice a day and also use La Roche Posay brand sunblock... I thought I would pass along this information for anyone that is still battling melasma.

...I just started my treated with Meladerm a few weeks ago. It does look like my spots have faded a bit already. Hopefully I will keep seeing good results. I will keep using it for at least 2 months and report back with any more news.

I had some dark spots on the back of my hands (from the sun) and it did fade them over time. Granted, they did not fade completely, but the spots are much lighter than before and my hands look much younger. But you always should keep in mind that if something works for someone, it doesn't necessarily mean it will work for you. Everyone's skin is different so not everything will work for everyone.

ANGELiQUE21:
My ankles and wrists are of a caramel skin color and the rest of my body is about 3 shades darker. I would like to no if Meladerm is best? I have also tried home remedies such as lemon and honey, etc.. I also have dark knees, elbows, neck. Would Meladerm also help that?

No1brownsugar:
I used it for a month and nothing happend. I have the same problem as you - dark kness, elbows and face with some scars.

GoldenHoney9:
I am on my second bottle and starting to see big changes. I am also using a dermabrasion kit I bought from the store. I didn't really see any change in the first couple weeks, but after the third and fourth week my skin is getting much lighter. I am using it only on my face and neck to make them match the color of my body.

Desichat:
I have uneven skin on my whole body and face. Some areas are very dark. My chest is really light and I wish my whole body was that color. I only use Meladerm on my face. It has made my face much much lighter but my back and butt are still a little bit dark. I don't want to use it on my whole body because the bottle will run out so fast and I am a poor college student.

Lokeelee:
Meladerm is really the best skin lightener I've come across and believe me I've tried them all. I started using it December of last year and wihtin just a month or two, my face was looking 10x better. I had alot of dark spots on my face from different scars, insect bites and pimples and it has lightened all of them. Even after all the spots were gone I kept using meladerm to make my whole face a little lighter. I live in a sunny climate and my face was dark from all the sun. After a couple months my face was getting lighter and eveyrone has been telling me I look amazing. Both my sister and mom are now using it and they are also loving the resuls. I have recommended it to everyone since this is the only product that has given me these kind of effects.

Meladerm is a good product if you have hyperpigmentation on your skin. I've been using it for over 2 months and have noticed that the brown spots left from acne have faded. I still use the product to maintain the results and to keep other spots from forming. It does not irritate the skin but it does cause a little dryness. Overall Meladerm is a very good product in my opinion.

My sister uses this. She had bad acne about a year ago. The Meladerm cream has cleared it up quite a bit. She uses it very religiously every day for the past 3 months I think.

I have used meladerm (and still do). I had dark brown spots on my forehead from pimples and it did an excellent job of fading them. I saw some slight results in the first couple of weeks but nothing major until about the second month. I think its a good product overall. There are many fade creams besides Meladerm, but I choose this one since it had very good ingredients. Do some google searches on skin lightening ingredients and you will find alot of info out there.

It takes a few months to really see noticeable results to the point where people start to compliment you. but i also was able to see it was working after the first few weeks. i would recommend it if you dont mind spending the money. there are cheaper products out there that do the same thing, but they might not be as effective or safe as the meladerm.

I've been using it on my face and its working to lighten two large age spots on my cheeks. I've been applying it religiously for just over 2 months now. I dont know how much more the spots will fade over time. I havnt noticed any side effects.
